Rank Choice Voting

As you know, New York City has reformed our election system as a result of a 2019 ballot question that amended the city charter. Moving forward, local primary elections – mayor, comptroller, public advocate, and city council – will take place via Rank Choice Voting.

The Political Action Dept. will be hosting a member training to provide an overview on Rank Choice Voting to ensure our members are prepared with the information they need to accurately complete their ballots during this year’s election.

The training is scheduled for Tuesday, April 6th at 6 p.m. Can you help us spread the word about this event and encourage your members to attend? We’ve gotten a lot of questions from members about rank choice voting and we’d like to be a resource to help them feel confident about voting this year.

With so much at stake right now, we cannot afford to have any of our members’ votes disqualified. Members can register to attend the forum at https://www.mobilize.us/afscmedc37/event/380217/
