Meeting to Learn about Ranked Choice Voting

Did you know NYC is using ranked choice voting to choose our next mayor?

DC 37’s Political Action Committee and PAC Chair Donald Nesbit would like to welcome you back to a special in-person PAC meeting at DC 37 HQ! Join us to make sure your vote is being counted! Nia Alvarez-Mapp will join us from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), who will answer all of your ranked choice ballot questions. We hope to see you there!

Proposed Health Plan for NYC Employees and Retirees

NEW YORK – New York City Mayor Eric Adams and New York City Office of Labor Relations (OLR) Commissioner Renee Campion today announced the selection of a joint proposal from EmblemHealth and United Healthcare to enter into negotiations for a new health plan for active city employees, pre-Medicare retirees, and their dependents that would continue to provide high-quality, premium-free coverage along with an expanded network of doctors and mental health specialists across the nation.

It’s primary season! There are several important races on the ballot this June, including: NYC Mayor, City Comptroller, Public Advocate, Borough President, District Attorney (Brooklyn and Manhattan), and City Council. We want to make sure you and your family have everything you need to make your voice heard at the polls. The NYC Primary Election is Tuesday, June 24, with an early voting period from June 14-22.
