The Legislators did not come back into session before the end of the year, as was originally scheduled. According to an NYS constitutional law, any bills not acted upon for two years or less must be reintroduced. So now we are waiting for the Early retirement incentive bill to be reintroduced with a new bill number.
DC37 is in the process of speaking to State Senator Andrew Gounardes, who sponsored the bill, to reintroduce this bill. I will keep everyone updated with any new information I receive.
