Dear Local 375 Member:

The Local 375 constitution requires it to conduct nominations and elections of officers and executive board members every third year in the month of October followed by elections in the month of November. Any dues paying member of the local may nominate candidates for office by submitting nominations to the email address listed above or they can also be made at the virtual meeting.

To be eligible for office, a member must be in good standing for one year immediately preceding the election. A member can only submit nominations for the number of positions available. If a member’s nominations exceed the number of candidates for a particular position, the Election Committee shall deem that the member intended to nominate those candidates listed in the order that they were nominated by the member and rule the others ineligible.

Nominators should identify themselves by First Name, Last Name, agency at which they are employed, their title, their full personal street address, their personal telephone and/or cell phone numbers, and submit their nominations using their personal email address.

Nominators should include the First Name, Last Name, personal street address, telephone number and cell phone number of the nominee(s). Also, identify the nominee’s agency, title, and their personal email address.

The Election Committee will post the list of candidates at www.local375.org

Any member who wishes to challenge the eligibility of a candidate to run for office must do so by submitting a challenge to the Election Committee at: [email protected] by 5:00 p.m November 2, 2023. The Election Committee will post its determination regarding the eligibility challenge via email.

Nominations will be held for the following positions:

President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant at Arms, Chairperson of the Executive Committee, 9 Delegates to District Council 37, 1 Delegate to the Central Labor Council and 6 Delegates to the AFSCME International Convention.

Nominations submitted by email must be received by October 31, 2023 at 12:00p.m. Email Nominations received after this deadline will not be accepted. Nominations can also be made on the floor at the virtual nomination meeting.

An election will be conducted if there are more nominees than positions available.

If there are any questions, they should be directed to the Election Committee at: [email protected]
