Local 375 members participated in March for Climate, Jobs and Justice in Washington DC on April 29th. (Please click here for rally photos) Local 375, Ch. 7 (Parks) President Ricardo Hinkle spoke at the rally. He said, "we have heard the right wing in this country routinely demonize our country's public workers and question our work ethic.

Last month all members should have received a bargaining survey from Local 375. The results from this survey will drive our Local's participation in the upcoming negotiations process. For those of you that have completed and returned the survey, thank you. If you have not, please respond as quickly as possible.

L375 Women’s Organizing Committee (WOC) celebrated Women’s History month on March 8, 2017. It was a great celebration to acknowledge all women of the past and present whom fought hard for women’s rights-to-vote, end violence, racial inequity and protecting environmental justice, LGBT, immigrants and worker rights.

WOC Chair Annette Brown said, “Women are like beautiful palm trees…we bend...but won’t break… Sisters Stand Strong in Solidarity and make that Change!”

Despite efforts to contain costs, sharply rising prescription drug prices continue to challenge the DC 37 Welfare Fund’s efforts to maintain the current level of benefits. Facing a projected $55 million-dollar budget gap in the Welfare Fund, and understanding that more money was urgently needed, Union leadership met with City representatives to find a solution.

The scholarship is open to high school seniors whose parent or legal guardian is an active member of the Civil Service Technical Guild, Local 375. To be eligible, the student must be graduating from high school in June of 2017 and planning to enter college or university in the fall.
