Dear Sisters and Brothers,

“You are receiving this email as your title within DC 37 qualifies you for a free, upgrade training program as part of the DC 37 Green Jobs Training Initiative. DC 37 expects the demands of New York City’s workforce to change as energy efficiency standards become part of job requirements going forward.

This training will provide you with a foundation of the residential, multi-family and small commercial building energy efficiency upgrade process. It will also speak to work on electrical systems, mechanical systems, and operations and maintenance essentials.

Dear Sisters & Brothers,

As per Henry Garrido, DC37 Executive Director, the Early Retirement Incentive Bill will be discussed in the NYS Senate on Tuesday, February 2, and in the Assembly on Thursday, February 11.

Testifying will be held virtually and through email.  I will be sending in testimony in favor of this bill. Members can help by contacting their State Senators and NY Assembly legislators and asking them to support and vote for this bill.

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Hope everyone is doing well. At yesterday’s DC37 Delegates Meeting, Executive Director Henry Garrido announced that an agreement was reached between the City and DC37, averting any layoffs until the end of the fiscal year 2021, which is through at least June 2021. Should the City receive additional funding, then the layoffs will be averted until the end of the fiscal year 2022.

DC37 is having a Facebook live meeting tomorrow at 6 pm to discuss this issue. (please click here to join the FB live).

Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Please read this extremely important email from Ben Totushek regarding restoring retroactively, sick, and annual leave for members who have qualified for the 9/11 unlimited sick leave benefit.

Dear Local375 members,

Hope everyone is doing well. Please click here for the updated list from DCAS of all upcoming exams. I strongly urge everyone to take any and all exams they are qualified for. This is especially important for anyone who is a provisional.
